Children’s Day or call it a Nehru Jayanthi -This day is completely devoted to children. On this special day, there are several events organized for children and programs for children. Nehru had great affection for the children and he considered the children as the future leaders of the country, they are like seeds which the nutrition given will determine their development and quality. This is the reason the today the topics discussed on various issues such as Education, Rites, Child Health, Mental and Physical development are discussed on this day.
Children have a delicate mind and every little thing affects their mind. Today, children are very important for the Country’s tomorrow. Therefore special attention should be given to their activities.
Steps to Develop Your Child's Language Skills:-
There exists an important role of Parents in the development of Child's Language skills. Here are the few simple steps to develop your child's language skills-
1. Music:
Children love music and dance. When listening to their favorite rhymes they learn about the environment around them and words in those rhymes.
2. Talk:-
Talk to your child what you are going to do and how you will feel. Talk with clarity and little word to word pause, so that child will pick up the word.
3. Narrate the Story-
Children love listing stories.
Plan situational themed story. Explain characters in it and add adventure to its characters.
End the story with a happy ending.
4. Read:-
Parents should read simple sentenced stories with the rhythmic flow. With this children will pick up the new words and increase their vocabulary.5. Limit Gadgets:-
Spend less time with Television, Phones, Tabs and electronic gadgets. TV shows make kids lazy it won't allow kids to interact. Interactive programs on the computer are useful.6. Listen:-
Listen to your child's talk, the narration of the incident/ event/ story.Help him to add new words during narration.
7. Go out:-
Make a trip to field, zoo, a museum or an aquarium etc., This will make a child learn new things and see the outside world.
